The fresh middle school days of two young boys who weren't yet friends: a distant summer's faint memory. Yuudai is an ordinary 14-year-old boy attending middle school with his friends. One day, a shocking secret is revealed about one of his classmates, Harada, which propels him to the center of the rumor mill and the cruel gossip that follows him around. But Yuudai is not as shallow as his classmates and he's clearly bothered by everyone's attitude towards Harada. How can he make everything go back the way they were, if it's even possible?
